She's got skinny sides, but because her armor belt is external, its great at bouncing shells. NorCal is best played as a bow-in tanker. Hopefully I can get some advice here on how to proceed since as I said I am baffled by the ship at the moment whiten typically I can adapt to play pretty much any ship in the game easily or with relative ease. And NC so far has felt worse than all of them, I have pulled higher average damage scores in tier 6 cruisers using AP ammo than my NC was able to do with all her AP shells I had fired. I must say I am a little baffled by the ship which makes things feel even more odd for me considering just in tier 8 BBs alone I have Bismarck, Monarch Richelieu, Roma, Kii, Amagi, and have used Rental Massachusetts before. Main battery guns lack the Aiming Mod and have the option for really long range which they can’t possibly be good at between how the shell dispersion acts and the shell pen. Mobility feels like it’s about in the middle for what I face in battles for BBs. Armor is temperamentally weak compared to rivals. Secondary guns rather ship is not good enough to spec for those I have heard. So not really sure how to make the ship work as AA guns a CV knows you have them and to be honest are not as much of a big deal these days. Honestly felt worse than my Roma ever considered being. Is North Carolina not that good anymore or do I simply need more practice with the ship? Played a battle in her after well equipping the ship and found it incredibly difficult to score hits and damage in the ship at various ranges including some at medium ranges.
